Prof. Tamsin Mather on NHK World’s Direct Talk

Prof. Tamsin Mather was filmed by In Focus Productions, a European producer for NHK World’s Direct Talk, both here in the Earth Science Department and in University College where she is a Supernumerary Fellow. NHK World’s Direct Talk is a series of in-depth interviews in which global leaders and visionaries discuss their personal experiences and insights into current events and is exploring the minds and motivations of people who are changing our world.

Tamsin discusses how her research into how mercury and other volcanic gases affect the atmosphere has triggered new exploration into the cause of mass extinctions of living organisms in earth’s distant past.
