Open Days and Enquiries
Thinking of studying Earth Sciences?
The University of Oxford’s 2017 Open Days are on Wednesday 28 June, Thursday 29 June and Friday 15 September. On these days the department is open to visitors from 10am to 4pm.
Attending an Open Days gives you a chance to see what goes on in the Department and talk to students, lecturers and other potential applicants. We offer an information desk manned by current undergraduates, displays and demonstrations illustrating aspects of our undergraduate course and the research which unpins it, and informal tours of the undergraduate teaching areas.
Prospective graduate students are also welcome on these days, though we can’t guarantee you’d be able to drop in on prospective supervisors. We advise you email ahead if there’s someone specific you’d like to talk to.
Events in other departments around the University, and activities in Colleges, may require booking. The University provides further information online.
If, after reading these pages, and the undergraduate prospectus, you have any further questions about applying to study Earth Sciences, you can get in touch with the Academic Administrative Assistant:
