I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marine Resources and Environment from Shandong University, where I studied the correlation between red tide occurrences and physicochemical environmental factors in the South China Sea under the guidance of Professor Chunli Liu. Subsequently, I obtained a master’s degree in Physical Oceanography with a focus on ocean remote sensing at the Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, supervised by Delu Pan and Professor Peng Chen. My master’s research project, entitled "Evaluation and calibration of particulate backscattering coefficient for spaceborne lidar CALIOP based on BGC-Argo floats," ignited my passion for utilising BGC-Argo floats and satellites to explore the large-scale distribution of marine phytoplankton. This led me to pursue a DPhil in Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford, where I am currently investigating the ecological and photosynthetic properties of marine phytoplankton in the subpolar North Atlantic and their impact on the ocean's carbon cycle.
