As Head of Administration and Finance, I act as the department’s chief operating officer, taking responsibility for the implementation of departmental strategy planning and the delivery of operational support for academic staff, researchers and students. This means that I have overall oversight for the effective and efficient day-to-day operational management of the department in support of its academic mission, and I oversee the administration and finance for the Department’s professional services including finance, HR, research support, student and teaching support, facilities, IT, safety, and communications.
I joined the Department of Earth Sciences in April 2021, moving from the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge, where I was HAF for 3 years.
