I have worked in student administration in various departments at Oxford since 2010; at Earth Sciences I deal with matters relating to both undergraduate and graduate students, with my main areas of focus being on our virtual learning environment (Canvas), undergraduate field courses, and all aspects of graduate student administration.
I provide advice and expertise as an initial point of contact for graduate admissions and on-course graduate student administration, liaising with other departmental offices, University and Divisional offices, academic staff, external supervisors and examiners, candidates and students at all stages.
I have primary responsibility for the organisation of undergraduate field courses and, with the help of the Academic Administrative Assistant, arrange accommodation, transport, equipment, and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed by attendees.
I am also the secretary for the Joint Consultative Committee for Graduates (JCCG) and the departmental Teaching Committee.
