Oxplore and Earth Sciences team up for the next Big Question

Oxplore, a digital outreach initiative from the University of Oxford, have teamed up with researchers from the Department of Earth Sciences to pose their latest Big Question project: ‘Could You Survive a Natural Disaster?’

This innovative interactive project aims to engage those from 11 to 18 years, with debates and ideas that go beyond what is covered in the classroom. Oxplore’s Big Questions tackle complex ideas across a wide range of subjects and draw on the latest research undertaken at Oxford. Their latest project has been developed in collaboration with researchers from the Department of Earth Sciences and features video interviews with paleobiologist Brandon Hedrick, volcanologist Rosie Jones, geophysicist Austin Elliott and oceanographer Anna Rufas Blanco, as they explore the exciting science behind natural disasters.
