Head of Department chairs Royal Society report on ocean resource
A Royal Society group, chaired by Profesor Gideon Henderson, has released a new report assessing the potential benefits and risks of exploiting two new classes of ocean resource: deep-sea minerals, and marine genetic resources.
The report was released during this week’s Royal Society Commonwealth Science Conference in Singapore. A short clip of Gideon speaking on the importance of the oceans was posted on Twitter.
