Postgraduate receives Outstanding Student Paper Award at 2016 Fall AGU Meeting

Congratulations to Postgraduate Kuangdai Leng on being awarded an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the 2016 Fall AGU Meeting.

Allen McNamara, President  of the AGU’s Study of Earth’s Deep Interior Focus Group, informing Kuangdai of his award, noted that the panel “enjoy seeing motivated graduate students such as yourself push the boundaries of excellent research and communicate it to others in a clear and effective manner.  Best wishes in your future research.  Keep up the good work!”

Kuangdai has developed a brand new numerical method to simulate global seismic wave propagation in realistic 3-D Earth models, using a fraction of the time and processing power of traditional 3D models. Read Kuangdai’s Academic Profile for further information.
