Associate Professor Helen Johnson wins MPLS Teaching Award

Congratulations to Dr Helen Johnson, who was recently awarded an MPLS Teaching Award.

Helen was nominated by one of the postgraduates on the Environmental Research Doctoral Training Programme, for inspiring them in an area they had not previously been interested in. When not inspiring current undergraduates and postgraduates, Helen also encourages potential applicants, running demonstrations for visitors at Open Days and inspiring our UNIQ Summer School attendees with an introduction to oceanography.

Helen will be giving a talk on “Arctic change: rapid warming and its consequences” alongside Heather Bouman, as part of the Alumni Weekend on Friday 16th September. Booking is open online, and tickets for this session cost £10.
