Alex Halliday awarded Hess Medal

Alex Halliday was announced last night as recipient of this year’s AGU Harry H. Hess Medal.

This leading medal is awarded to recognise “outstanding achievements in research on the constitution and evolution of the Earth and other planets.”

Alex joins a illustrious list of past recipients (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Hammond_Hess), which includes the department’s Bernie Wood in 2013.
