Postdoctoral Research Assistant

I am working on the Oxford Martin School funded  ‘Monitoring Ocean Ecosystems’ project. In collaboration with a team of electrochemists (Compton group), we are aiming to develop a prototype sensor that can be deployed in the field to monitor the abundance of different functional groups of phytoplankton, as well as quantifying the amount of extracellular calcium carbonate being produced by calcifying species.

Before joining the Earth Sciences department I completed my PhD research at the University of Exeter, where I conducted a series of laboratory experiments to investigate the effects of both short- and long-term warming on the physiology of marine phytoplankton.
