Project title: Evolution of volcanic rifted margins: Origin of seaward dipping reflectors with insights from flexure and ‘process-oriented’ gravity modelling.
I am a PhD student in the Department of Earth Sciences investigating the evolution of volcanic rifted margins and the origin of seaward dipping reflectors (SDRs). My research focuses on the interpretation of seismic reflection data and gravity modelling to constrain margin history. I am funded by NERC with a joint St Johns RCUK Scholarship on the Environmental Research Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), which provides multidisciplinary training in a variety of disciplines across the University.
Undergraduate teaching responsibilities include demonstrating for 2nd year Geophysical Methods and tutorials in 1st year Mathematics and Geophysics, 2nd year Geophysical Methods, 3rd year Sedimentary Basins and Vector Calculus.
