I am a Geologist and Hydrogeologist with five years’ experience working in Engineering and Environmental consultancy. I have a keen interest in the digitalisation of the Geosciences so this attracted me to the main project I’m carrying out at the university as a Research Assistant. The ‘Water AI’ project is a partnership with industry, and the overall aims are applying data science for groundwater analysis, and machine learning to identify deep aquifers. The main source of data are repurposed Oil & Gas datasets, so the work seeks to contribute towards energy transition and finding applications for groundwater and carbon capture & storage.
