My research interests lie in the climate system, and particularly in developing negative emissions technologies to address anthropogenic climate change. I will look at enhanced silicate weathering as a potential method, and hope to address some of the following questions:

How does CO2 travel along a river, is it stable or is it re-emitted into the atmosphere?

Which acids are responsible for the natural chemical weathering (sulfuric or carbonic acid)?

What causes a river to be supersaturated in respect to calcite?

How does a river respond to perturbations caused by a enhanced weathering experiment?
