I’m the Department’s Research Facilitator, a role I have held since January 2007.
My primary goal is to support the Department’s researchers in their funding applications, by leading on budgeting, adherence to scheme guidelines, document preparation, and the drafting and collation of ancillary grant material.
I am also secretary to the Department’s Research Committee, and convene the weekly brown bag lunch seminars every Monday.
I have an undergraduate degree in Earth Sciences from the Department. In 2000 I gained my DPhil in the Department, looking at the metamorphic sole of the Semail ophiolite. Current faculty members Mike Searle and Dave Waters were my supervisors. Prior to returning to academia, I was a management consultant and worked in private equity fund raising.
