I was the Department’s Research Facilitator between January 2007 and November 2018. Until 2011 I split my efforts and also supported applications in Physical Climate Science, working with interdisciplinary researchers across several different departments (Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics; the Environmental Change Institute, inter alia).
I have an undergraduate degree in Earth Sciences from the Department (1996). In 2000 I also gained my DPhil in the Department, looking at the metamorphic sole of the Semail ophiolite. Current faculty members Mike Searle and Dave Waters were my supervisors.
I published three well cited papers resulting from my DPhil research but have not been research active since.
Prior to returning to academia, I spent seven years in the private sector, initially as a management consultant and latterly in private equity and business angel fund raising for tech startups.
