I took on the role of Research Facilitator in the department in January 2019. My role is to help our Faculty and researchers identify research funding opportunities and to help them through the application process. The department has had success through many funding sources, such as NERC, European Commission, Leverhulme Trust and US Geological Survey. My aim is to help support further success from these and other funding sources
I joined the University in 2013 and have spent almost six years in the University’s Research Services European & International Team, supporting our academics with proposals for EC funding through Framework Programme 7 and Horizon 2020. I have a first degree and Master’s degree in natural sciences-related subjects. Before joining the University, I spent 10 years in the Oxfordshire and Berkshire environmental records centre. My work involved the collection and digital mapping of wildlife information, including from sites of geological or geomorphological importance in the two counties.
