Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Experimental Petrology

I am a postdoctoral research assistant based in the experimental petrology and volcanology research groups here at Oxford. I am particularly interested in the magma storage and degassing mechanisms preceding volcanic eruptions. To learn more about these magmatic processes, I perform high-pressure and temperature experiments replicating the conditions in the magma chamber and the volcanic conduit.

My current research investigates the 1257 Samalas eruption of the Samalas-Rinjani volcanic complex in Indonesia and the 1991 eruption of Hekla volcano in Iceland.
