My DPhil research is on continental subduction processes in Ladakh, India. I will be studying the burial and exhumation history of the leading edge of the Indian continent, where ultra-high-pressure assemblages are preserved in a buoyant, amphibolite facies host rock. My work combines structural mapping, detailed thermobarometry, thermodynamic modelling and radioactive dating techniques.
I am funded by NERC through the Oxford Environmental Research Doctoral Training Partnership.
