On Tuesday 28th January 2020, Abby Evans from the Careers Service will be presenting a session on Global Internships for Oxford Students.
The Summer Internship programme offers 4-12 week internships (with financial support) in sectors ranging from university research, sustainability and conservation to heritage, journalism and development in 40+ countries including the UK. For those who can’t spare several weeks in the summer we also run a programme of micro internships lasting 3-5 days. Open to students of all year groups from first year undergraduates to final year DPhils the programmes offer unique opportunities to travel and explore career areas. Come along to this short session to learn more about the programme, the application process and to hear about some of the opportunities that might be of particular interest to Earth Scientists.
The event is open to all undergraduates and postgraduates. Please feel free to bring your lunch with you.
Abby is a Careers Advisor at the University Careers Service. She is also a geologist by background having completed her undergraduate and PhD at the University of Cambridge, so she’s a great person to speak to about Earth Sciences careers and STEM-related sectors. She is also able to offer invaluable insight into CVs, Cover Letters, job and internship applications.
We hope to see you there.
