Attending an Open Day gives you a chance to tour the teaching areas in the department; talk to students, lecturers and tutors and attend talks and demonstrations illustrating aspects of our undergraduate course and the research which unpins it.
Across the University, visitors are encouraged to schedule subject-based visits in the morning, and college visits from lunchtime, though we are open for tours all day, and offer a repeat session of the main talk in the afternoon.
10:00-11:00 Talk: Introduction to Earth Sciences – Find out more about Earth Sciences, how the course is taught at Oxford, and what careers might be available in the future.
15:00-16:00 Talk: Introduction to Earth Sciences (Repeated from 10am)
10:00-16:00 Tours, displays and informal chats with students and tutors available throughout the day.
Open days are free, and there is no need to book for events in our department. Other departments may require bookings, or run on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend using the main University Open Days site for advice on other events during the day.
