Getting Started with ROI_PAC at Oxford

1. Place the following lines in your .cshrc files:
---for 64 bit version or roi_pac:
alias loadlroi64 'source /home/timraid1/timw/roi_pac_v2.3beta/ROI_PAC_2_3RC/SAR_CONFIG.master.csh'
---old versions:
alias loadroi 'source /home/sar1/ROI_PAC_DIST/SAR_CONFIG'

alias loadlroi 'source /home/tim1/progfiles/roi_pac/SAR_CONFIG_LIN.csh'
alias loadsroi 'source /home/tim1/progfiles/roi_pac/SAR_CONFIG_SUN.csh'
-----

2. To set up the environment variables for ROI_PAC, type
"loadlroi64" for the latest tested LINUX 64 bit version [RECOMMENDED]
"loadlroi" for the latest tested LINUX 32 bit version
"loadsroi" for the latest tested SUN version
    "
loadroi" for v1.0 (SUNs only) [this is the only version for which process_topo.pl is currently tested]

Note - you should stick to the operating system that you start with (LINUX and SUNs have opposite byte-ordering conventions for binary files!)

3. Getting Help:
ROI_PAC is not simple to master. You will have problems and will need help. First check the Frequently Encoutered Problems, then ask other users in the lab, then me. You should subscribe to the ROI_PAC mailing list (below), but use it as a last resort. Also check the ROI_PAC FORUM to see if others have had similar problems.

[To subscribe to the ROI_PAC mailing list (send an e-mail to  <Majordomo@Radar-Sci.Jpl.Nasa.Gov> with "subscribe roi_pac" in the body of your e-mail message).]
