Santorini

I am in the final year of my DPhil, working in the volcanology group in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford.

My research is concerned with understanding the characteristic behaviour of volcanoes during both eruptive phases and periods of quiescence. My project incorporates both remote sensing and field based techniques, utilising InSAR to measure volcanic deformation and soil gas monitoring to determine rates of degassing. I am currently working on active volcanoes in the Colombian Andes and the South Aegean Arc.

My interests include combining InSAR with field data to QC results, identifying possible precursory trends, and providing an improved understanding of the complex subsurface structure of active volcanoes.
